Abu Dhabi Invests AED 300M to Upgrade Public Transport

Abu Dhabi is investing more than AED300 million to modernise its public transport system with new digital technologies and smarter mobility solutions.

The project will introduce an advanced Automated Vehicle Management system to enable real-time monitoring of buses and journeys, improve schedule adherence and strengthen fleet and service management.

A new digital fare collection system will also give passengers more flexible payment options, including bank cards, digital payment methods and QR codes.

The upgrade is part of Abu Dhabi’s wider digital transformation drive, aimed at improving transport efficiency, customer experience and the emirate’s readiness for future population and economic growth.
