Dubai Looks to Chinese Technology to Support Al Maktoum Airport Expansion

Chinese technology is expected to play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of Dubai’s expanded airport, according to Dubai Chambers chairman Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, who linked stronger commercial ties with China to one of the emirate’s largest infrastructure developments.

Speaking to Arabian Business at the Dubai Business Forum – China in Shenzhen, Al Mansoori said Dubai should strengthen partnerships that bring Chinese expertise and innovation into major developments, including the expansion of its airport infrastructure.

He emphasised the importance of adopting advanced technologies to manage the projected passenger traffic at the airport, noting that handling such volumes efficiently would be challenging without sophisticated technological systems.
