Dubai Police Deploy 36 Robocops as AI Expands Policing

Dubai Police has deployed 36 robots for various operational and administrative functions as it continues to expand the use of artificial intelligence across policing and public services.
Over the past year, the force also completed 104 strategic and operational technology projects, while developing new AI systems to automate processes, analyse information and assist decision-making.

The technology developments were reviewed by Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, during his annual inspection of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence.

During the inspection, Lieutenant General Al Marri reviewed performance indicators, operational preparedness and key technology projects aimed at shaping the future of policing in Dubai.

Dubai Police Deploys 36 Robots

Dubai Police’s robotics network currently comprises 36 robots carrying out various operational and administrative duties.

According to the force, the robots are helping speed up procedures, improve productivity and reduce repetitive workloads, enabling employees to concentrate on specialised responsibilities that provide greater value.

The General Department of Artificial Intelligence delivered 104 strategic and operational technology projects over the past year.

These initiatives are part of Dubai Police’s broader efforts to integrate advanced technology and AI across policing sectors while enhancing operational efficiency.

Lieutenant General Al Marri also assessed the force’s AI transformation strategy, which includes initiatives aimed at expanding artificial intelligence across police, administrative and operational functions.

The strategy aims to convert data into practical decision-making tools while developing proactive solutions to enhance response times, operational efficiency and service quality.

AI platform to Anlyse Data and Automate Procedures

Dubai Police is developing an AI platform equipped with technological capabilities designed to support its operational environment.

The platform will facilitate the creation of smart solutions, analyse data, automate procedures and provide intelligent tools for both employees and customers.

Lieutenant General Al Marri emphasised the need to continue strengthening Dubai Police’s AI ecosystem and adopting advanced technologies across policing, administrative and operational functions to improve efficiency, speed and accuracy.

He also underscored the importance of integrating advanced technology with specialised human expertise as technological innovation continues to accelerate.

Smart Police Stations get AI Assistant

Dubai Police is developing an intelligent assistant for its Smart Police Stations (SPS).
The initiative is designed to support the next generation of police stations by applying smart technologies to make security and policing services more accessible, efficient and adaptable.

It also aims to enhance the customer experience and simplify access to services through an integrated platform available around the clock.

Dubai Police Digital Services Record 99.97% Continuity

Dubai Police reported a 99.97 per cent continuity rate for public services this year, while system continuity stood at 99.92 per cent.

The results demonstrate the readiness of the force’s technology infrastructure and its capacity to maintain essential services.

Lieutenant General Al Marri highlighted the importance of enhancing operational readiness and business continuity while continuously upgrading systems and services to keep them seamless, secure and efficient.

The General Department of Artificial Intelligence also secured seven awards and certificates of recognition for its projects and initiatives, alongside registering 29 intellectual works.

Lieutenant General Al Marri commended department employees for their contributions to Dubai Police’s digital transformation and the development of its policing ecosystem.

He urged teams to continue advancing innovative initiatives and projects and broaden the use of AI across operations to strengthen institutional performance and provide more advanced services to residents and visitors.

Dubai Police has previously introduced AI-powered robotic technology for public-facing policing. In 2025, the force deployed its autonomous DPR 02 robotic patrol at Global Village, enabling independent movement and direct connectivity with the Command and Control Centre.
