Dubai Ranks Fifth Globally for Economic Opportunities
Dubai has ranked fifth globally for economic opportunities in a new study covering 80 cities, highlighting the emirate’s strong position as a business and investment hub.
The study assesses cities across economic opportunities, liveability, social capital, engagement with governments and speed of change, combining economic data with resident sentiment.
Dubai was the only Middle Eastern city to rank among the global top five for economic opportunities. Its position was supported by high household incomes, positive business sentiment and a strong presence of global companies.
Residents in Dubai also reported strong confidence in career development and access to financial opportunities, reflecting the city’s appeal to businesses, investors and professionals.
The emirate ranked ninth globally for engagement with governments, supported by its digital public services and levels of satisfaction with government delivery.
Dubai also ranked 12th globally for social capital and first globally for social connections, highlighting high levels of community interaction, participation and social engagement.
The findings underline Dubai’s position in the global competition to attract businesses, investment and talent as cities focus increasingly on economic opportunity, government services and quality of life.
