FAB Launches Payit: Send Now Pay Later for International Money Transfers

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has launched a Send Now, Pay Later (SNPL) service through its Payit digital financial platform, allowing eligible customers to make international money transfers immediately and repay the amount later.

The service provides customers with up to 30 days to repay eligible transfers. It is integrated directly into Payit’s existing international remittance experience, so customers can access the feature without changing the way they initiate transfers.

Flexible international remittances

The new service is designed to provide additional flexibility for customers who need to send money internationally before their available funds are due.

For example, customers may need to support family members during an emergency or cover an unexpected expense. Therefore, the option allows eligible users to complete a transfer when required and manage repayment within the permitted period.

Moreover, the service remains within Payit’s existing digital remittance journey. Customers can continue using the platform to send money internationally while accessing the additional financing option where they are eligible.

Payit expands digital financial services

The launch adds another financial service to Payit, which provides digital payments, international remittances, borrowing and other money-management services through its platform.

Payit currently allows users to transfer money internationally to more than 200 countries, according to its app listing. The platform also offers borrowing and other digital financial services.

Additionally, the Send Now, Pay Later feature is now available through recent Payit app updates. The app listing describes it as a flexible repayment option for eligible customers making international transfers.

However, eligibility criteria apply, and customers should review the applicable terms before using the service. The feature is positioned as an extension of Payit’s digital remittance offering, giving customers another way to manage short-term funding requirements while sending money abroad.

The launch comes as digital financial platforms increasingly combine payments, remittances and short-term financing within a single customer experience. For UAE consumers who regularly send money overseas, the service adds another option for managing the timing of international transfers and repayments.
