Grok Bot Launches Autonomous AI Agents for Digital Work
SpaceXAI and Cursor are expanding their AI ambitions with the launch of Grok Bot, a new application designed to perform tasks autonomously rather than simply respond to prompts. Available across macOS, iOS, Windows and Linux, the platform provides AI agents with persistent cloud computers that can interact with websites, applications and digital tools, much like human employees.
The launch signals a broader shift in AI software toward agentic computing, in which users delegate complete workflows rather than manage individual commands. Rather than relying solely on conventional API integrations, Grok Bot allows each agent to operate inside its own persistent computing environment and navigate software interfaces directly.
Grok Bot Gives AI Agents Their Own Computers
The central feature of Grok Bot is its persistent cloud-computing architecture. Each AI agent receives its own virtual computer, allowing it to sign into web services and operate software through graphical interfaces.
That approach differs from traditional AI assistants, which often depend on APIs or require users to manually move information between applications. Instead, Grok Bot can interact with digital environments in a way that more closely resembles a human operator working at a computer.

The launch, therefore, represents an early stage of the platform rather than a fully open consumer release. Nevertheless, its availability across major desktop operating systems and iOS gives the product a broad foundation for testing autonomous workflows.
