Samsung Debuts Next-Gen Foldables at Galaxy Unpacked 2026
Samsung has unveiled its most advanced foldable device lineup at Galaxy Unpacked 2026, introducing the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8 alongside two new AI-powered smartwatches. The latest portfolio reflects the company’s continued focus on combining premium hardware with artificial intelligence to deliver more personalized and productive user experiences.
Each foldable targets a different user type. The Galaxy Z Fold8 emphasizes immersive entertainment, the Fold8 Ultra focuses on professional productivity, and the Galaxy Z Flip8 delivers a compact design centered on everyday convenience and AI-driven interactions.
Fold8 Series Brings Bigger Displays, Smarter AI and Enhanced Performance
Leading the lineup, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra features an expansive 8-inch foldable display, a 200 MP camera system, and a slimmer profile designed for multitasking. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, the flagship model aims to deliver faster performance, improved efficiency, and extended battery life.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold8 introduces optimized display proportions for reading, gaming, and video streaming. At the same time, the Galaxy Z Flip8 transforms its external FlexWindow into an AI-first interface, allowing users to access personalized information and complete everyday tasks without unfolding the device.
Across the lineup, Samsung continues to integrate artificial intelligence more deeply into the user experience, making foldable smartphones increasingly capable of handling both productivity and entertainment in a single device.
New Galaxy Watches Strengthen Samsung’s AI Health Platform
Samsung also expanded its wearable portfolio with the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 9. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 targets outdoor enthusiasts with a titanium case, an 800 mAh battery, and a display capable of reaching 5,000 nits of brightness for improved visibility in challenging conditions.
Additionally, the smartwatch introduces advanced activity tracking features, including Trail Run mode with elevation and hydration guidance. It also supports dive-ready certification developed in collaboration with Mares, making it suitable for professional underwater activities.

The Galaxy Watch9 focuses on everyday health monitoring through a lighter aluminum design and a refined cushion-shaped case. Powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, the smartwatch offers continuous activity tracking, sleep analysis, and biometric monitoring while delivering up to 3,000 nits of display brightness.
Both wearables integrate Samsung’s latest AI-powered health features, including Sleep Apnea detection, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, and Fitness Index. As a result, users receive more personalized health insights and actionable recommendations based on real-time biometric data.
Samsung has opened pre-orders for the new devices through its retail stores and online channels. Official sales of the Galaxy Z Fold8 series, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2, and Galaxy Watch9 will begin on August 7, 2026.
