UAE Investor GII Acquires Majority Stake in London House Exchange

UAE-based Gulf Islamic Investments (GII) has acquired a majority stake in UK fractional property platform London House Exchange (LHX) for an undisclosed amount.

The stake was purchased from Better Home & Finance Holding Company, a Nasdaq-listed, AI-native mortgage and home equity finance platform.

GII Targets Alternative Investments

Following the acquisition, GII plans to develop the LHX platform into a broader alternative investment offering.

The strategy will focus on Shariah-compliant products, private credit opportunities and equity-linked products through an originate-to-distribute model.

GII also plans to expand LHX’s geographic reach across international markets, extending the platform beyond its existing UK focus.

GII Expands UK Financial Services Portfolio

The acquisition marks GII’s second investment in the UK financial services sector.

The group previously invested in Offa, a UK-based Shariah-compliant mortgage lender, in 2022.

The latest transaction gives GII control of LHX as it looks to expand its alternative investment platform and build a broader presence across international financial markets.
