Dubai’s Empower Considers Refinancing Up to USD 1.5B

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), a Dubai-listed district cooling provider, is planning to refinance up to USD 1.5 billion in debt.

The proposed refinancing forms part of the company’s debt management strategy and could help optimise its financing structure and manage its financial obligations.

Empower operates district cooling infrastructure across Dubai, supplying chilled water to residential, commercial and other developments. Its services support the emirate’s growing real estate sector and expanding urban infrastructure.

District cooling plays an important role in the UAE’s energy efficiency efforts by providing centralised cooling solutions for buildings, helping reduce the need for individual air-conditioning systems.
