Range Rover Sport Electric Delivers 542 HP and 373-Mile Range
JLR has unveiled the all-new Range Rover Sport Electric, bringing the performance-focused SUV into the electric era while retaining its off-road capabilities.
Built on an updated MLA-Flex platform, the electric SUV uses a 118.5 kWh lithium-ion battery and an 800-volt electrical system. Dual electric motors produce 542 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, while Dynamic Launch Control enables a 0–62 mph sprint in 4.5 seconds.
373 Miles of Electric Range
The Range Rover Sport Electric is designed for long-distance touring, with an estimated range of up to 373 miles (600km) on a single charge.
Its 800V architecture supports DC fast charging at up to 350kW. The battery can charge from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes, while a 10-minute charging stop can add up to 137 miles of range.
Visually, the SUV retains the familiar Range Rover Sport silhouette, with aerodynamic updates such as a revised grille and unique alloy wheels. Engineers have also developed a dedicated soundscape to replace the traditional exhaust note.
Lower Centre of Gravity, Serious Off-Road Ability
The electric powertrain lowers the SUV’s centre of gravity by 2.8 inches compared with the plug-in hybrid version. Its body structure is also 61% stiffer than the current plug-in hybrid Range Rover Sport.

All-wheel steering, Dynamic Air Suspension and Active Roll Control work with an adaptive dynamics system featuring twin-valve dampers. The system monitors 100 parameters 500 times per second to manage body roll and pitch.
Despite its road-focused performance, the SUV can wade through up to 35.4 inches of water and tackle 45-degree inclines. It will launch in Dynamic HSE and Autobiography trims, with deliveries beginning in select markets in Q1 2027. The Range Rover Sport Electric will not be offered in the US for the 2027 model year.
