UAE to Announce New Petrol Prices for October 2026
The UAE is expected to announce its new petrol and diesel prices for October 2026 next week.
Petrol prices rose in August and September after recording a significant decline in July. Fuel costs have fluctuated throughout 2026, with sharp increases recorded in April, May and June in line with movements in global oil markets. The market has also been affected by the ongoing US-Israeli conflict with Iran.
Fuel prices declined at the beginning of the year, with rates falling in both January and February before recording a marginal increase in March. However, prices climbed sharply over the following three months, increasing costs for motorists and businesses across the UAE.
Although fuel prices fell in July, petrol and diesel rates increased again in August and September. Motorists and businesses are now awaiting the Fuel Price Committee’s next announcement for October.
In September 2026, E-Plus 91 is priced at AED 3.61 per litre, while diesel costs AED 4.30 per litre. Both are significantly higher than their December 2025 prices of AED 2.51 and AED 2.85 per litre, respectively.

Special 95 and Super 98 have also become considerably more expensive compared with the end of last year.
Special 95 rose from AED 2.58 to AED 3.69 per litre, while Super 98 increased from AED 2.70 to AED 3.80 per litre.
Super 98 is priced at AED 3.80 per litre in September, up 5.56% from AED 3.60 in August.
Special 95 costs AED 3.69 per litre, representing a 5.73% increase from AED 3.49 in August.
E-Plus 91 is priced at AED 3.61 per litre, up 5.87% from AED 3.41 in August.
Diesel stands at AED 4.30 per litre, marking a 13.16% increase from AED 3.80 in August.
The UAE Fuel Price Committee froze petrol prices in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, preventing monthly changes to fuel rates.
The government lifted the price controls in March 2021 as global oil prices began rising, allowing fuel prices to once again respond to market conditions.
Global crude oil prices remain a key factor influencing fuel price movements in the UAE, with changes in international oil markets affecting the monthly rates announced by the Fuel Price Committee.
