Dubai Municipality and Emaar Malls Explore Public Space Development

Dubai Municipality has signed a deal with Emaar Malls Management to explore opportunities for new commercial offerings, community facilities and lifestyle destinations across Dubai’s public spaces.

The agreement establishes a framework for identifying suitable locations, evaluating potential development opportunities and sharing expertise in retail and destination development.

The collaboration supports Dubai Municipality’s efforts to attract private-sector expertise and investment into public spaces, expanding services and experiences for residents and visitors while creating new opportunities for businesses and investors.

Under the agreement, Dubai Municipality and Emaar Malls will exchange information on suitable and available locations that could accommodate future commercial offerings, community facilities and lifestyle destinations.

The two entities will also share market insights and assess how retail and commercial activities could enhance public destinations across Dubai.

The agreement was signed by Eng. Bader Ahmed Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, and Ahmad Thani Al Matrooshi, Executive Director at Emaar Properties, on behalf of Emaar Malls Management LLC.
